QSE or Qualifyint Small Enterprise

Qualifying Small Enterprises or QSEs are entities with an annual turnover of between R5 million and R35 million.

QSEs may select any 4 of the 7 elements each weighted 25 points, in order to obtain an overall score out of 100.

The practical consequences of this are that entities will select the 4 elements which are the most practical for their businesses by which to be measured, and means that QSEs may legitimately exclude any 3 elements from their scorecard.

This is significant as it effectively renders BEE a far more manageable, practical and less onerous exercise for QSEs.

A QSE may only obtain a BEE Certificate from an accredited Verification Agency.
